Leisureport
FAQ
1. Can I afford to invest in new operational software during what is proving to
be difficult times?
Putting the operational benefits to one side, can you afford not to? Corporate
governance is bringing greater accountability for senior executives to ensure the
integrity of their organisation. Non-compliance increases both personal and business
exposure to risk/related costs.
2. We have managed to date with our existing H&S and other controls. We also employ
Area Managers to look after these areas, so why change?
Typically reports created in good organisations only highlight the need for action,
but make no provision to ensure this action is being carried out! As with any organisation,
despite setting necessary but ever-changing standards, there are always an unforeseen
percentage of people who let you down; can you afford to wait for this to happen?
There is also a question of whether the existing controls meet the demands of today's
business environment and provides your operation with the visibility you require?
Whilst the benefits of investing in Leisureport are numerous, only you can determine
the real need and outcome.
3. I don't want all of my senior management to be able to see all day to day operations,
I want to retain control of who sees what and don't want to invite negative interference.
Access levels can be set to ensure only relevant management have visibility of
appropriate areas to suit individual business requirements. Additionally the system
will highlight efficient operators providing the visibility to recognise and reward.
4. What is the financial benefit?
Failing to record and react to situations quickly could result in substantial liability
claims and associated costs. Paper, printing and administration costs incurred with
traditional systems are eliminated.
5. Could this increase duplication and workload?
You decide how much detail you require to best serve your business needs. In many
cases Leisureport would replace all existing forms of data capture, reducing duplication
and waste of resources.
6. How would I get my managers to use the system and appreciate its benefits?
Due to the risks of non-compliance in any culture, a zero tolerance approach to
failure to populate the system will achieve best results. However, all good managers
will likely see all the benefits and therefore embrace the system.
7. Can our existing systems be embedded?
Depending on client feedback, future versions of Leisureport may have the ability
to integrate with existing systems and self populate. However, research has shown
that in most cases there is no real benefit in doing this as Leisureport provides
all the latest requirements.
8. Could we just develop our own internal checklist system?
The resources required to develop a system of this complexity and flexibility with
the benefits it provides, senior management would not be cost effective for one organisation
to undertake. Our experience has shown that to successfully develop such a project
would require an investment of over £1 million, plus the additional cost and resource
requirements to keep the system up to date.
9. I fear it won't be embraced by my operations teams as it will be seen as bureaucratic
and time consuming.
The system enhances and encourages job efficiency. Confidence is increased as it
prompts required actions, whilst tracking individual activity. Good practice and
performance will be highlighted, plus areas for improvement or action will be recognised.
This reduces risk, cost of risk and unnecessary work load encouraging optimum operational
efficiency.
10. Will it reduce my insurance costs?
Ask your provider, but insurance companies consider risk in premium calculations,
so we would expect that operating a system such as Leisureport will be well received.
Even if an up-front reduction is not offered, the system will demonstrate due diligence,
reduce your risk and resulting cost of claims.
11. We have a particular need to monitor trends unique to our business, will Leisureport
facilitate this?
Trend analysis is a major requirement for many businesses, so the system has been
designed to support this in a flexible highly visible format.
